Job Description

The Label Room Attendant is responsible for operating equipment to print pressure sensitive labels and finish them (lamination) according to established daily schedule. Obtains label substrate from storage locations and loads into printing machines. Uses software to retrieve required artwork files in the production process of transferring a printed image onto label web. Documents completion of completed print jobs, accurately records material scrap, and maintains equipment according to establish cleaning and maintenance schedules.

The Label Room Attendant job opening is for our 1st shift, which works Monday - Friday from 6:00 AM - 2:45 PM.

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

• Responsible for accurate record keeping of produced materials and adherence to quality standards of printed labels according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Maintains accurate perpetual inventory of all components and printed items.

• Follows the established rules for the revision and storage of artwork electronic files.

• Communicates inventory levels of all labels and toner supplies to department supervisor so that supplies are purchased when needed.

• Adjusts the printing equipment to compensate for variations in containers, equipment condition, and ambient environment. Cleans and maintains the printing equipment according to required preventive maintenance needs.

• Ensures that equipment is performing properly to optimize uptime, reduce associated downtime, and allow for safe operation capable of producing quality output.

• Works cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization.

Job Requirements

• Two-year certificate from college or technical school is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to write and complete inventory records and other departmental forms. Ability to speak effectively.
