SUMMARY

The Accounts Receivable Manager/Customer Rebate Analyst will report to the CFO, manage a staff member, and work closely with the Sales & Marketing, Finance, and IT departments.  The overarching objective of the Accounts Receivable Manager will take ownership of Accounts Receivable and the Customer Rebate Programs and reporting in order to provide meaningful insights that will help drive sales and profitability, accuracy, as well as improve customer relations. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Manager Accounts Receivable function, including oversight of a AR Specialist.
  • Keep track of AR Aging report, eliminate bad dept expense, and improve/optimize collection times.
  • Work closely with customer service billing department.
  • Responsible for collections in order to ensure all accounts are current.
  • Month-end close responsibilities as assigned and directed by CFO.
  • Work with department heads to cleanup and reorganize customer rebate programs and verify accuracy of the system.
  • Take ownership of customer rebate analysis and reporting. This is a critical and complex program highly tailored to individual customer accounts which requires close attention to detail.  Finance, IT, and Sales & Marketing will all be relying on clear and timely data from the customer rebate program to make decision that will impact the business.
  • Ad-hoc analysis and duties at the direction of the CFO and other department heads.
  • Other ancillary duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree highly preferred
  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of high volume, focused Accounts Receivable experience REQUIRED.
  • Experience with customer accounts/sales analysis.
  • Experience with customer rebates a plus.
  • Highly proficient with Excel (i.e.VL lookups, PivotTables, Indexing, IFAND formulas, etc.)
  • Data mining or experience with robust databases/datasets a plus.
  • Must be a self-starter, take initiative, and see projects through to the end.
  • Must be assertive and curious.
  • Must possess ability to take large sets of data, find trends, and communicate results in a clear and simple story.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, edit, proofread and interpret documents such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), product labeling.  Must have proficiency in grammar and spelling. Must demonstrate strong attention to detail.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide and convert all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

ORGANIZATIONAL/CLERICAL SKILLS

Ability to track multiple projects/tasks requiring input from other team members.  Excellent electronic and hard copy file organizational skills.

PROFESSIONAL/COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Provides assistance to other members of the organization as needed.  Interacts with customers and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner.  Maintains organized, professional workspace. Takes initiative to learn new tasks and solve problems.
